BROWNLEE SETS FURMAN CAREER ASSIST MARK

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman sophomore Kaye Brownlee became Furman's all-time leader in career assists last week with a three assist performace against South Carolina. Brownlee, who has played in only 31 career matches, has recorded 27 assists in her career.

A sophomore from Kennesaw, Ga., Brownlee finished her freshman season ranked second in the nation in assists per match. This season, she has picked up right where she left off, as she leads the Lady Paladins with six goals and eight assists.

Her freshman season was full of accolades as she was a first team Soccer Buzz freshman All-American, a second team All-Southeast Region selection, a first team All-Southern Conference pick, and the Southern Conference freshman-of-the-year.

The 1999 Lady Paladin team is making additional strides this season as it have been ranked among the Southeast Region's top ten all season. Last week, Furman cracked the nation's top 30 with a national ranking of 30th by High Tech Soccer.
