GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman women's soccer team has rescheduled three late season matches head coach Brian Lee announced today. In addition, the 1998 Southern Conference Tournament, which will be played at Furman, has been moved from November 1-2 to November 7-8.
Home matches against UNC Greensboro and Chattanooga are now scheduled for October 27 at 7 p.m. and October 31 at 2 p.m., respectively. The Lady Paladins' road trip to Raleigh to face North Carolina State has been rescheduled for October 20 at 3:30 p.m.
In late July, the NCAA expanded the women's soccer tournament from 32 to 48 teams, giving the Southern Conference an automatic bid and eliminating the play-in game. The Southern Conference then moved the tournament back a week, opening up an extra week in the season.
