Melissa Sutton Named Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Sophomore forward Melissa Sutton was named Southern Conference Player-of-the-Week after scoring goals in each of the Lady Paladins matches last week.

Sutton scored the game-winner against Jacksonville and added goals against College of Charleston and Wofford. Sutton has now scored a goal or an assist in Furman's last six matches. Melissa is Furman's leading scorer with seven goals and six assists on the season.

"Melissa continues to play superb up front," said Furman head coach Brian Lee. "She has been a steady goal-scoring force all year and is a threat to score every time she touches the ball."
