GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Furman women's soccer team is ranked tenth in the latest NSCAA/Umbro Southeast Region Rankings. It is the first time in the history of the four-year women's soccer program that the Lady Paladins have earned a regional ranking.
The Lady Paladins gained the ranking after winning a school-record five consecutive matches dating from September 28 to October 12. The Lady Paladins, 9-5-1, knocked off Florida State, Liberty,UNC Wilmington, College of Charleston, and Jacksonville during their march.
In addition to the team accolade, goalkeeper Jen McNutt is currently second in the region in Goals Against Average with a 0.89 GAA.
The Lady Paladins are currently 9-5-1 overall, 1-2 Southern Conference and face a stiff test Wednesday as they travel to Statesville, Ga to face conference foe Georgia Southern.
