FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RANKED 14TH BY COLLEGE SOCCER NEWS

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team is ranked 14th in the College Soccer News top 30 poll released on Tuesday.

Maryland, who knocked off the Paladins 1-0 at the Diadora Challenge in Omaha, Neb., on Friday, sits atop the poll with UCLA ranked second and Wake Forest in third. Southern Methodist and Stanford round out the top five.

Furman, 0-2-0 on the season, return to action Friday when it hosts South Florida at 7:30 p.m. in the first round of the Diadora/Spinx Furman Invitational at Eugene Stone III Soccer Stadium. The Paladins face ninth-ranked St. Louis in the second round of the tournament on Sunday afternoon at 2:30.
