FURMAN REMAINS SEVENTH IN NATIONAL RANKINGS

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team remained seventh in the nation in the latest Soccer America national poll released on Monday.

Furman is also ranked 11th in the NSCAA poll and ninth in the College Soccer News poll. The Paladins are ranked second in the NSCAA South Region poll.

Furman extended its consecutive shutout streak to seven matches with a 3-0 win over Davidson last weekend, which ties for the 12th longest in NCAA Division I history. Furman has not allowed a goal in 688 minutes, dating back to the first half of a match at St. Louis on October 5.

Furman also extended its Southern Conference unbeaten streak to 41 matches, pulling to within one of the NCAA record of 42 held by Clemson from 1972-1980. The Paladins are 15-2-1 on the year, 8-0 in the Southern Conference and will open the Southern Conference Tournament on Thursday at 4:30 against Wofford.
