FURMAN IMPROVES TO SEVENTH IN LATEST POLL

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team improved three spots to seventh in the latest Soccer America national poll released on Monday.

The Paladins are also ranked ninth in the College Soccer News poll and 16th in the NSCAA poll.

Furman won the Spinx/Land Rover Furman Invitational over the weekend with impressive victories over Butler (4-0) and #19 Creighton (4-2). Junior forward Scott Hoch led the Paladins with three goals in the tournament to earn Offensive MVP honors.

The Paladins return to action this weekend in the Notre Dame Tournament with matches against nationally ranked Notre Dame and Bradley. Notre Dame is ranked as high as fifth (NSCAA) and is 14th in the Soccer America listing. Bradley is 24th in the NSCAA poll and unranked by Soccer America.
