FURMAN'S MOOR CALLED UP TO TRAIN WITH U.S. UNDER-20 NATIONAL TEAM

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman men's soccer freshman Drew Moor has been called up to the United States Under-20 National Team and will train with the team in Florida through January 24.

Drew Moor, of Dallas, Texas, joined the squad on Saturday night and is currently participating in the adidas MLS Player Combine. The U.S. U-20's are joined by three senior all-star teams at the combine, which continues through Tuesday. Following the MLS combine, the team will remain in Florida through January 24 and will host Mexico on January 23.

Moor has trained with the Under-20 National Team previously as he has been a member of the pool since last year. Former Furman teammate Ricardo Clark is also participating in the combine with the Under-20 National Team. Clark signed an MLS contract last week and will enter the MLS SuperDraft, scheduled for Friday, January 17.

Moor was the 2002 Southern Conference Freshman-of-the-Year and was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman First Team. He scored one goal and recorded five assists during his freshman campaign, playing both midfield and defender.

The Paladins finished the season with a 19-3-1 overall record, including a third round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Furman set new NCAA Division I records this season as it extended its Southern Conference unbeaten streak to 43 matches and as it recorded 11 straight shutouts from October 9 through November 27, going 1,129 minutes without allowing a goal.
