FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLEMSON/NIKE INVITATIONAL

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team will travel to Clemson this weekend to play in the Clemson/Nike Invitational.

The Paladins will face Fairfield on Friday at 5:00 and will take on Gonzaga on Sunday at 12:30. This weekend will mark Furmanšs first ever meeting with both teams.

Furman is currently 5-1-1 on the season and 3-0 in the Southern Conference. The Paladins are coming off a 3-0 win over Wofford on Tuesday night.

"Clemson always invites excellent teams to its tournament," said head coach Doug Allison. "We can expect to see this caliber competition later in the NCAA tournament."

Furman is currently ranked in the Top 25 in three national polls. The Paladins are ranked 12th by Soccer America, 11th by College Soccer News, and 24th by the NSCAA.
