CRONIN NAMED TO NATIONAL TEAM-OF-THE-WEEK;
THREE PALADINS EARN ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS AT CLEMSON

GREENVILLE -- Furman men's soccer standout McNeil Cronin was named to the College Soccer News Team-of-the-Week on Monday, while three Paladins were named to the all-tournament team at the Clemson/Nike Invitational.

Cronin, a junior from Winston-Salem, N.C., scored one goal in each of Furman's three matches last week against Wofford, Fairfield, and Gonzaga. The goals were the first career goals for Cronin, a defender for the majority of his career at Furman.

Senior Matt Foxhall earned defensive MVP honors at the Clemson/Nike Invitational last weekend and was joined on the all-tournament team by Cronin and senior Anthony Esquivel.

"McNeil, Matt, and Anthony played excellent last week and each provided great leadership," said Furman head coach Doug Allison.

Furman returns to action Wednesday night at home against Appalachian State at 7:00.
