RICARDO CLARK NAMED SOUTHERN CONFERENCE CO-PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK

GREENVILLE, SC -- Sophomore Ricardo Clark was named the Southern Conference Co-Player-of-the-Week for October 29. Clark was also named to the Soccer America and College Soccer News National Teams-of-the-Week.

Clark, a midfielder from Jonesboro, GA, led Furman to a 1-0 victory over ninth-ranked South Carolina on Sunday. He took a cross from Andy Kidd and blasted a shot from 18 yards out to give the Paladins the win, the third over South Carolina for a Southern Conference team this season.

"Ricardo has played great for us all season," said head coach Doug Allison. "He scored a big goal in a big game, and I am glad to see him receive this honor."

Clark, who is also a starter for the United States U-20 National Team, currently has three goals and two assists on the season.

Furman returns to action on Wednesday as it travels to face Georgia Southern in a match postponed due to the tragic death of Furman freshman Gray Griffin.
