SOUTH BEND, IN -- The seventh ranked Furman men's soccer team tied Bradley 0-0 Friday night in the opening match of the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament at Notre Dame.
Despite outshooting Bradley 21-10 and attempting 13 corner kicks to Bradley's three, the Paladins were unable to find the back of the net.
John Hanley registered three saves in the match to preserve the shutout. The match was Furman's first scoreless tie since a 1998 match against Ohio State.
Furman is 3-0-1 on the year, Bradley moves to 3-0-2. Furman returns to action in South Bend on Sunday afternoon against Notre Dame.
