FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RISES IN NATIONAL POLLS

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team improved one spot in the Soccer America Top 20 as the Paladins climbed from fifth to fourth inthe nation after defeating Notre Dame and Florida International in the Umbro/Spinx Furman Invitational last weekend.

Furman also improved one spot to sixth in the College Soccer News poll, jumped two spots to eighth in the Men's Soccer Media Poll, and is ranked 17th in the NSCAA poll.

Furman will face its toughest test of the season when the Paladins battle traditional power Indiana on Friday night at 6:00 in the Butler Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. Furman will also battle Butler on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Furman head coach Doug Allison enters the weekend with a 98-25-9 career record as he is two wins away from 100 career victories.
