FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RANKED 13TH
IN NATION
GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's
soccer team is ranked 13th in the latest Soccer America national poll, down
ten spots from its previous high of third last week.
The Paladins dropped a 3-2 double
overtime match to South Carolina last week for its first loss of the season,
but rebounded to defeat Appalachian State 4-1 over the weekend.
Furman is also ranked 11th in the
College Soccer News poll and 15th in the Men's Media poll.
The Paladins will host Georgia Southern
on Wednesday before travelling to Birmingham, Ala., to face 16th ranked UAB
on Sunday. Furman is 8-1 on the year and off to its best start in school history.
The Paladins are also 3-0 in the Southern Conference and have outscored SoCon
opponents 13-1 this season.
