FURMAN'S SCOTT HOCH NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman sophomore Scott Hoch earned Southern Conference Player of the Week honors with a three goal and one assist performance last Friday night against Belmont.

Hoch's offense helped pace the No. 5 ranked Furman men's soccer team to a 7-0 victory over Belmont. His seven point performance occurred in only a 25-minute stretch in the second half. Hoch's first two goals came only 42 seconds apart.

"I'm extremely excited for Scott," said head coach Doug Allison. "He played a terrific match and is deserving of this recognition."

Hoch, a forward from Lakeland, FL, saw action in 20 matches last season while scoring one goal and recording one assist.
