FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER OPENS SPRING SEASON FRIDAY

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team will open its spring season on Friday, February 16 with a 7:00 p.m. match against Presbyterian College at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.

Friday's match is the first of five for the Paladins, who are coming off a 17-4-2 season in which they won the Southern Conference Title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.

Furman will play two professional soccer teams this spring as the Paladins host the Charleston Battery of the A-League on March 30 and the newly formed Greenville Lions of the USISL on April 10. Also on the Paladinsı slate is a home match against Lander on March 23 and the annual Furman-South Carolina match in Columbia on April 4.

Friday's match against the Blue Hose will be Bret Boulware's return to Stone Stadium as the former Paladin assistant now heads up the Presbyterian program.

Furman also has its annual Alumni match scheduled for April 21 at Noon.
