GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman-Radford men's soccer NCAA Play-In match has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 12 at Furman's Eugene Stone Stadium.
The winner of the match earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. This will mark the second straight year that the Paladins and Highlanders have met in the play-in game. Last season, Furman defeated Radford 1-0 en route to advancing all the way to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.
Furman claimed the Southern Conference Tournament Championship with a 4-1 victory over Appalachian State on Sunday. Furman is ranked in all major polls, including a 12th place showing in the NCAA Division I media poll and a ranking of 15th in the Soccer America poll. The Paladins are 16-3-2 on the season.
Radford won the Big South Tournament for the second straight season as the Highlanders defeated Elon 2-0 in the championship match. Radford is 12-9 on the season and claims a 3-2 win over Duke this year.
Ticket prices for the match have been set at $5 for adults and $3 for children and students.
Selections to the NCAA Tournament will be announced on Monday, November 13.
