FURMAN'S NUSUM NAMED SOCON PLAYER OF THE WEEK

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman All American forward John Barry Nusum was named Southern Conference player-of-the-week on Monday.

Nusum played a part in four of five goals for the Paladins last week as Furman cliched its third straight Southern Conference title and its tenth in the last 11 years.

Nusum scored one goal and recorded one assist in Furmanıs 3-0 shutout of Georgia Southern and recorded a goal and an assist in Furmanıs SoCon clinching 2-0 victory over Davidson. Nusumıs goal against Davidson was the game-winner.

John Barry Nusum leads Furman and the Southern Conference with 12 goals and 8 assists for 32 points this season. Nusum was a first team All American last season as he helped lead Furman to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament.

Furman is 13-2-1 on the season and ranked 14th in the NCAA Division I media poll. The Paladins travel to face Clemson Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a key match with NCAA Tournament ramifications.
