FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RANKED IN NATIONAL POLLS

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team is ranked ninth in the latest Soccer America poll, ninth in the inaugural NCAA men's soccer media poll and 17th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released today.UCLA is the nationıs top team in both polls.

The Paladins are 1-0 on the season after downing Georgia State 1-0 in overtime on Friday. All American midfielder Matt Goldsmith scored the game-winner in the the first overtime.

Furman is also ranked third in the NSCAA South Region poll and travel to face Elon Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Elon College, N.C. The Phoenix are ranked 10th in the South region poll.

The Paladinsı next home match will be Saturday at 4 p.m. against Belmont.
