FURMAN TO PLAY SECOND SEEDED CLEMSON IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team will play at Clemson on Sunday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the NCAA announced today. Game time will be announced on Tuesday.

Furman received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by virtue of a 2-0 victory over Radford on Sunday. The Paladins will be making their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Furman advanced to the quarterfinals last year with wins over North Carolina and Wake Forest before losing to Connecticut.

The winner of the Furman-Clemson match will play the winner of the Connecticut-Dartmouth match in the second round.

Furman is 17-3-2 on the year and won the Southern Conference regular season and tournament championship. Clemson is 13-3-2 and earned the second seed in the tournament.
