DIVISION II ALL AMERICAN MOFFAT ODUOR TRANSFERS TO FURMAN

GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman men's soccer coach Doug Allison announced that Moffat Oduor, a second team Division II All American from the University of Charleston (W.Va.) will join the Paladin soccer team next fall.

Oduor, a native of Eldoret, Kenya, will transfer to Furman as a junior. Oduor helped lead Charleston to the Division II semifinals in 1999 and a final NSCAA national ranking of third in the country. Odour is a member of the Under 20 Kenyan National Team.

"I am pleased to welcome Moffat to the program," said Furman head coach Doug Allison. "He has excelled at the Division II level and I feel that is the type of player who can do the same at this level. I believe he will be a strong addition to our team next season."

Furman is coming off its best season in school history as it advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament and finished with a 21-2-1 overall record. The Paladins were ranked third in Division I in the final Soccer America poll.
