FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER IMPROVES TO 4TH IN NATION
GREENVILLE -- The Furman University men's soccer team is ranked fourth in the latest Soccer America national soccer poll, while they are eighth in the NSCAA poll. The ranking is the highest-ever for the Furman soccer program, eclipsing last week's mark.
Furman defeated Clemson 3-2 in overtime and concluded the Southern Conference regular season with a perfect 8-0 league record.
The Paladins, 15-1-1, are ranked third in the South Region. Furman travels to Charleston, S.C., for the Southern Conference tournament this weekend. The Paladins play The Citadel Friday at 11:30 at Blackbaud Stadium in the first round.
