FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RANKED 6TH IN NATION

GREENVILLE -- The Furman University men's soccer team is ranked sixth in the latest Soccer America national soccer poll, while they are seventh in the NSCAA poll and tenth in the Soccer Times poll. The ranking is the highest-ever for the Furman soccer program, eclipsing last week's mark.

Furman clinched the top seed at the Southern Conference tournament and at least a share of the SoCon title with two wins last week. The Paladins beat Davidson 1-0 on the road and downed VMI 3-0 at home.

The Paladins, 13-1-1, are ranked third in the South Region. Furman hosts rival Clemson on Wednesday at 7 p.m in a much anticiapted in-state battle. The Paladins will close the regular season next Sunday as they host Georgia Southern.
