FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RISES IN NATIONAL POLLS
GREENVILLE -- The Furman University men's soccer team improved to 14th in the nation in the latest NSCAA national poll. The Paladins are also ranked 16th by Soccer America and 14th by Soccer Times.
Furman defeated the College of Charleston 2-1 in overtime and tied South Carolina 1-1 in front of 2,345 spectators at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium on Sunday.
The Paladins, 6-0-1, are ranked third in the South Region. Furman will participate in the Clemson/Nike Soccer Invitational this weekend where it will face Akron on Friday at 5 p.m., and #2 Santa Clara Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
