FURMAN MEN'S SOCCER RANKED 4TH IN NATION
GREENVILLE -- The Furman University men's soccer team is ranked fourth in the latest Soccer America national soccer poll, while they are sixth in the NSCAA poll, and seventh in Soccer Times.
Furman won the Southern Conference Tournament last week as the Paladins downed UNCG 3-2 in the conference title match. Furman shutout The Citadel 3-0 and College of Charleston 1-0 in the first two rounds.
The Paladins, 18-1-1, are ranked second in the South Region, tying the highest-ever regional ranking for the Paladins. Furman will host Big South Champion Radford Saturday at 6 p.m. in an NCAA Play-In Match. Furman can earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with a win over Radford. Selections for the 1999 Men's College Cup will be announced Monday, November 15. | |||||||
