GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer is ranked 13th in the nation in the latest Soccer America national poll. The Paladins are also ranked 19th in a poll conducted by Soccer News.
Furman finished the regular season 14-3-2 overall and 7-1 in the Southern Conference. The Paladins will be the number one seed in the Southern Conference Tournament beginning tomorrow as Furman hosts Wofford at 7:30 p.m.
Goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale has recorded ten shutouts this season and his goals against average of 0.66 is in the nationšs top 15.
If Furman defeats Wofford Tuesday, they will travel to Davidson for the 1998 Southern Conference Soccer Tournament. The Paladins would play the winner of Georgia Southern-Appalachian State at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Davidson.
