GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer reached its highest
1998 rankings in the two major polls this week. The Paladins are
12th in the nation in the latest Soccer America poll and 19th in the latest
NSCAA/Umbro coaches poll. Furman is also 11th in a poll conducted by Soccer
News.
Furman is currently 9-1-2 on the season and are off to the best start in Furman's 32-year men's soccer history.
Furman's goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale has recorded seven shutouts this season and has a goals against average of 0.63 on the season.
Furman will host Southern Conference foe Davidson this Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will travel to Wofford for a 6 p.m. match on Saturday.
Furman is ranked 4th in the NSCAA/Umbro South Region Poll.
