Paladins Rise In Soccer Polls

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team is ranked 14th in the nation in the latest Soccer America poll, 23rd in the latest NSCAA/Umbro coaches poll, and 10th in a poll conducted by Soccer News.

Furman is currently 7-0-1 on the season and are off to the best start in Furman's 32-year men's soccer history. In addition, Furman's current eight match unbeaten streak is the longest in school history.

Furman's goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale has recorded five shutouts this season and has a goals against average of 0.60 on the season.

Furman will host UNC Charlotte, ranked 18th in the Soccer America poll and 11th in the NSCAA/Umbro poll on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and travel to Columbia to face South Carolina, ranked 5th in the Soccer America poll and 15th in the NSCAA/Umbro poll Sunday at 2 p.m.

In the South Region poll, Furman is ranked 5th, while UNC Charlotte is 3rd and South Carolina is 4th.
