Paladins Ranked In Nation

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team is ranked 17th in the nation in the Soccer America poll and 25th in the latest NSCAA/Umbro coaches poll.

Furman is currently 5-0-1 on the season after defeating the College of Charleston 4-1, Navy 1-0, and Florida Atlantic 2-1 last week.

Furman's goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale has recorded four shutouts this season and is currently 11th in the nation in Goals Against Average. The Paladins who have allowed only two goals in six matches are ninth in the nation in team defense.

Furman will host rival UNC Greensboro Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Eugene Stone Stadium in a pivitol early season Southern Conference showcase.

In other polls, the Paladins are 14th in the nation in the Soccer News poll and are fifth in the NSCAA/Umbro South region poll.
