GREENVILLE, SC ó The 12th ranked Furman menís soccer team
was upset 1-0 by Davidson Wednesday at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium.
Davidson's Andrew Holbrook scored the game's lone goal for the Wildcats with just under 14 minutes to play on a Paul Watson corner kick.
The Paladins had ample opportunities to score throughout the match as Furman outshot Davidson 22-10 on a rain soaked field that slowed the pace of the match.
With the loss, the Paladins fall to 9-2-2, 2-1 in the Southern
Conference, while Davidson improves to 2-12, 1-3 in the Southern Conference.
