GREENVILLE, SC -- Furman men's soccer coach Doug Allison announced Friday that Ryan Conway will transfer to Furman following two seasons at Clemson.
Conway, a midfielder from Lilburn, Ga., played high school soccer for Parkview. He was a 1996 Parade All American as he helped lead Parkview to two state championships. Conway lettered two seasons at Clemson, scoring three goals in four starts last season. He was also an ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
"Ryan Conway is a talented, experienced competitor," said Furman head Doug Allison. "He leaves an excellent program in Clemson and we expect good things from him these next two years."
Conway becomes the second player to transfer to Furman after Paul Leese, previously of Charleston Southern, elected to join the program earlier this year. They will join seven freshman, including national team members Matt Goldsmith and John Bradford, as newcomers in the fall.
