GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The men's soccer match between Furman and South Carolina has been rescheduled for November 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium on the campus of Furman University.
The match was originally scheduled for September 28, but was postponed due to inclement weather and poor field conditions.
The match will continue a rivalry that dates back to 1972. South Carolina holds a 17-7-2 advantage, but the Paladins have claimed four of the previous seven match-ups. The two teams play annually for the Umbro Trophy.
Furman will host the 1997 Southern Conference Tournament the preceding weekend, November 8-9.
