Furman Goalkeeper, Team Ranked In Region

GREENVILLE, SC -- The Furman men's soccer team is tied for sixth in the latest NSCAA/Umbro South Region rankings, while junior goalkeeper Ronnie Pascale places second in Goals Against Average.

Following two shutout victories last week, the Paladins claimed a spot in the regional top 10 after a two-week absence. Furman is tied with Wake Forest for sixth, while Florida International tops the region with a 9-2-1 record.

Pascale holds a Goals Against Average of 0.57 and has recorded four shutouts on the season. Pascale recorded two shutouts last week, including an impressive showing in the Paladins' 2-0 victory over Wake Forest. Ronnie trails only N.C. State's Dan Alexander in Goals Against Average (0.24).

The Paladins are currently 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the Southern Conference. Furman will continue its challenging non-conference schedule this weekend as it faces Creighton and Vanderbilt in the College of Charleston tournament.
