Men's Soccer Team Ranked In South Region

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The Furman men's soccer team is tied for fourth in the South Region in the latest NSCAA/Umbro regional rankings. The Paladins hold a 3-0 record following shutout victories over South Alabama and Erskine, along with a 3-2 victory over College of Charleston.

Florida International tops the regional rankings. The Southern Conference and the ACC top the region with three ranked teams each. Along with Furman, Southern Conference members UNC Greensboro and Georgia Southern are ranked in the region. The ACC boasts Duke, Wake Forest, and Clemson in the region's top ten.

"We are excited to receive a high regional ranking," Furman head coach Doug Allison said. "We just hope to keep winning and hopefully move up and receive a national ranking." NSCAA/Umbro South Region Poll
