GREENVILLE, SC - Furman forward Ryan Higginbotham was one of 11 players selected to the Soccer America Team-of-the-Week Tuesday.
Higginbotham, a senior from Dallas, Texas, scored all three goals in Furman's 3-1 victory over UNC Greensboro to claim the Southern Conference tournament title last weekend. Higginbotham scored four goals and recorded two assists throughout the conference tournament.
Higginbotham, the 1996 and 1997 Southern Conference Tournament MVP, has scored six goals on the season.
"I am excited for Ryan," Furman head coach Doug Allison said. "Ryan has really started playing the kind of soccer he is capable of and he was certainly a huge factor in our success in the conference tournament."
