Release: Upon Receipt FURMAN'S SANTORA NAMED TO NSCAA/UMBRO ALL-AMERICA SQUAD

GREENVILLE Ð Furman men's soccer player Pete Santora was named to the NSCAA/UMBRO All-America first team on Monday.

Santora, a junior defender from Dunwoody, Ga., started 19 of the Paladins' 21 matches and finished the season with two goals and two assists. Santora was named to the All-Southern Conference team for the third consecutive year and to the All-South Region team for the second straight year.

Santora is Furman's second men's soccer All-American and the only Paladin soccer player to be named to the first team. Osian Roberts was named to the second team in 1986 and 1988.
