FURMAN GOLFERS REMAIN 21ST AT FALL PREVIEW

SUNRIVER, Oregon -- Furman's 15th-ranked Lady Paladin golf team reamins in 21st place despite improving 11 strokes from round one to round two at the NCAA Fall Preview at the Crosswater Club in Sunriver, Ore. The Lady Paladins followed up a first-round 326 with a 315 and total 641 strokes entering the final round.

Sophomore Jennifer Perri (Eden Prairie, Minn.) carded a second consecutive 77 on Tuesday and is tied for 41st with a two-round 154 total. Junior Dara Broadus (Atlanta, Ga.) also fired a 77 on Tuesday, but was tied for 79th at 162 after a first-round 85. Sophomore Tara Schultz (Wethersfield, Conn.) is also in 79th with rounds of 82-80, while freshman Brandi Jackson (Belton, S.C.) is 82nd after shooting 82-81. Freshman Cimmie Shahan (Spring Grove, Pa.) rounds out the Furman team in 97th place with a score of 168 (86-82).

The third and final round of the NCAA Fall Preview is slated to begin at 9 a.m. (PDT) Wednesday with a shotgun start.
