FURMAN GOLF 13TH AT MERCEDES

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee -- Furman's Lady Paladin golf team fired a 317 on Saturday and is 13th at the Mercedes-Benz Women's Collegiate with a two-day 635 total. South Carolina and Georgia are tied atop the leaderboard with a score of 600.

Sophomore Jennifer Perri (Eden Prairie, Minn.) carded a second round 75 and is in 16th with a 152 total to stand as Furman's top performer thus far. Tara Schultz (Wethersfield, Conn.) is in 57th with rounds of 80-81 to her credit, while Brandi Jackson (Belton, S.C.) is 62nd with a 162 tally following scores of 76 on Friday and 86 on Saturday.

Freshman Sarah Johnston (St. Charles, Ill.) followed up a first-round 86 with a 79 and is 72nd individually, while Cimmie Shahan's (Spring Grove, Pa.) rounds of 85-82 place her in a three-way tie for 76th at 167.

The final round of the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate is slated for Sunday at the 5,958-yard, par 72 Gettysvue Polo, Golf, & Country Club.
