BROADUS AND PERRI DEFEATED AT U.S. AMATEUR

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina -- Furman golfers Jennifer Perri and Dara Broadus were each defeated Wednesday in the first round of match play at the U.S. Women¹s Amateur in Asheville, North Carolina.

Young-A Yang from Knoxville, Tenn., topped Broadus, a junior from Atlanta, 6 and 4, while Jennifer Hubbard defeated Furman¹s Perri 3 and 2 at the par 72, 6,202-yard Biltmore Forest Golf Course. It was the first U.S. Amateur for both Broadus and Perri.
