LADY PALADINS EXTEND LEAD IN SOCON CHAMPIONSHIPS

GREENSBORO, North Carolina -- Furman’s Lady Paladin golf team fired a 308 on Saturday to extend their lead in the Southern Conference Championships to 14 strokes over second place Western Carolina with a two-day 605 total.

Four of five Lady Paladins are in the top 20, including senior Sarah Johnston and freshman Jenny Suh, who are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 146. Johnston shot a 75 on Saturday, while Suh carded the low round of the day with a 73. Teammate Theresa Paik, a freshman from Silver Spring, Md., is in third at 150, while senior Tiarna Harman is in 20th at 163. Sophomore Haley Gildea was the non-counter with an 85.

The final round of the Southern Conference Championship is slated for Sunday, April 25, at the par 71 Starmount Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
