ADY PALADINS FINISH SEVENTH AT LIZ MURPHEY

ATHENS, Georgia -- Furman’s Lady Paladin golf team fired a second consecutive 293 on Sunday to finish tied seventh in the Liz Murphey Intercollegiate with a three-round 896 total.

Senior Sarah Johnston carded a two-under 70 at the 6,014-yard, par 72 University of Georgia Golf Course to lead the Lady Paladin charge and finish tied for fourth in the individual standings at 213, six strokes off Bittany Lang’s winning pace. In addition, freshman Jenny Suh (Fairfax, Va.) fired a 72 and tied for 20th at 223, while Monique Gesualdi (St. Augustine, Fla.) shot 76 and placed 55th at 231. Connor Atkinson (Charleston, S.C.) rounded out the Lady Paladins scorers with a 75 on Sunday, while Thersa Paik (Silver Spring, Md.) recorded a 77 and placed 71st at 234.

Furman is in action again next weekend, April 2-4, at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
