LADY PALADIN GOLFERS FINISH FIFTH IN FALL FINALE


WILMINGTON, North Carolina -- Furman’s Lady Paladin golf team fired a final round 304 Sunday at the Landfall Tradition to take fifth with a three day 905 total in the team competition. The New Mexico Lobos won the Tradition with a three-round 891 at the 6,135-yard, par 72 Country Club of Landfall.

Lady Paladin freshmen Jenny Suh and Theresa Paik tied for eighth in the individual team standings with a three-round 223 total. Paik fired a 73 on Sunday, while Suh carded a 75. Junior Sarah Johnston also recorded a 75 on Sunday and finished 15th at 226, while Connor Atkinson finished at 233 after a final round 81. Junior Tiarna Harman also shot 81 on Sunday and finished 49th at 246. The Landfall Tradition was the last competition of the fall season for Furman.

The Lady Paladins will open the spring of 2004 March 5-7 at the LSU Cleveland Classic in Baton Rouge, La.
