LADY PALADIN GOLFERS SIX STROKES OFF LANDFALL LEAD


WILMINGTON, North Carolina -- Four Lady Paladin golfers are in the top 20 individually entering the final round of the Landfall Tradition, and the Lady Paladin golf team is fifth, six strokes off New Mexico’s lead pace, after firing a 299 on Saturday for a two-day 601 total.

Freshman Theresa Paik paced the Lady Paladins on Saturday, carding an even-par 72 to move into 12th with a 150 total, while Sarah Johnston added a 74 and is 14th at 151. Jenny Suh continues to pace the Furman team overall with a two-day 148 tally after a second-round 76. Suh is eighth in the individual standings. Sophomore Connor Atkinson is also in the top 20 after firing a 77 in Saturday’s second round for a two-day 152 tally. Junior Tiarna Harman followed up a first-round 82 with an 83 on Saturday and is in 51st in the individual standings.

The New Mexico Lobos lead the team competitions with a two-round 595, while Tulsa is second at 596, Arkansas is third at 598, and Tulsa is fourth at 599.

Arkansas’ Amanda McCurdy is leading the individual leaderboard with a three-under 141 entering the final round.

The final round of the Landfall Tradition is slated for Sunday at the 6,135-yard, par 72 Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
