LADY PALADIN GOLFERS TIED FOR THIRD AT LANDFALL TRADITION


WILMINGTON, North Carolina -- The Lady Paladin golf team is tied for third with Tulsa after carding a 302 in the first round of the three-round Landfall Tradition. The New Mexico Lobos lead the tournament after a first-round 291, while Tulsa is second at 300.

Furman was paced on Friday by freshman Jenny Suh (Fairfax, Va.), who fired a 72 at the 6,135-yard, par 72 Country Club of Landfall. Sophomore Connor Atkinson (Charleston, S.C.) recorded a first-round 75 and is tied for 14th in the individual standings, while Sarah Johnston (St. Charles, Ill.) carded a 77 and is tied for 20th. Freshman Theresa Paik (Silver Spring, Md.) is 26th after a first-round 78, while Tiarna Harman (Greenville, S.C.) is 49th after shooting 82.

New Mexico’s Kailin Downs is the individual leader following a three-under 69 on Friday.

Round two fo the Landfall Tradition is slated for Saturday, with the third and final round to take place on Sunday.
