LADY PALADINS FINISH 6TH AT LADY GAMECOCK


BLYTHEWOOD, South Carolina -- Furman’s Lady Paladin golf team concluded the Lady Gamecock Invitational with a final round 316 on Sunday, falling from fourth into sixth in the team standings with a three-round 936 total.

Freshman Jenny Suh carded a final round 77 at the 5,665 yard, par 72 University Club Course to pace the Lady Paladins on the day. Suh finished the tournament tied for 11th with a three-round 229 total. Senior Sarah Johnston fired a 78 on Sunday to finish 21st with a 235 tally, while Connor Atkinson shot 80 to finish 32nd at 239. Freshmen Monique Gesualdi and Theresa Paik both carded final round 81s to place 26th and 36th respectively on the indiviudal leaderboard.

The Lady Gamecock Invitational was won by North Carolina with a 906 total. The Gamecocks of South Carolina took second with a 914, while Texas finished third at 916.

Furman continues its spring season March 26-28 at the University of Georgia’s Liz Murphey Invitational.
