LADY PALADINS 13TH AT BRYAN PARK COLLEGIATE


BROWNS SUMMITT, North Carolina -- Furman’s Lady Paladin golf team fired a second-round 300 on Saturday, but slid from a tie for 10th into 13th with a two-day 606 tally at the Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C.

The Lady Paladins’ Sarah Johnston, a senior from St. Charles, Ill., followed up a first round 71 with a 75 and is tied for 11th at 146, six strokes off the lead held by Duke’s Brittany Lang and Vanderbilt’s May Wood. In addition, Theresa Paik (Silver Spring, Md.) and Jenny Suh (Fairfax, Va.) are tied for 42nd at 152 after shooting 75 and 72, respectively, on Saturday. Finally, freshman Monique Gesualdi (St. Augustine, Fla.) is tied for 59th with a pair of 78s, while sophomore Connor Atkinson (Charleston, S.C.) is tied for 82nd following rounds of 83-79.

The third and final round of the Bryan Park Collegiate is set for Sunday at the Bryan Park Champions Course. Duke leads the team standings by 12 strokes over second place Auburn.
