TWO LADY PALADINS TABBED AS ALL-AMERICA


AUBURN, Alabama -- At the National Golf Coaches Association Annual Awards Banquet Friday night in Auburn, Ala., Furman senior Sarah Johnston and freshman Jenny Suh were tabbed, respectively, as second team and honorable mention All-America.

Johnston, the Southern Conference Player of the Year, posted a 74.2 stroke average for the year and had top 10 finishes in five tournaments, including a victory at the league championships.

Suh, the SoCon Freshman of the Year, recorded a 74.3 season stroke average and was Furman’s top finisher in six tournaments this season, including NCAA Regionals and Nationals.

Brandi Jackson (2003, second team) was Furman’s last golf All-American, but the last time two Lady Paladin two team members were so honored dates to 1993, when both Caroline Peek and Kristel Mourgue d’Algue earned first team honors.
