GEORGIA,TULSA TIED FOR LADY PALADIN LEAD ENTERING DAY TWO:
LADY PALADINS IN SEVENTH

GREENVILLE, South Carolina -- The seventh ranked Bulldogs of the University of Georgia and the 18th-ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricane are tied at 291 after round one of the 33rd Annual Lady Paladin Golf Invitational.

The Hurricane was paced on Friday by Julie Tvede, who leads the tournamentšs individual race after a first round 71. Tvedešs teammate Cas Bridge is tied with Georgiašs Whitney Wade and Lisa Tyler, UNC Greensborošs Jenna Schmidt, and TCUšs Brooke Tull for second at 72. Tull, who went 36-36 on Friday, is the defending Lady Paladin Champion. She shot 74-69-69 last year to win medalist honors by three strokes over Furmanšs Leigh Turner.

The host Lady Paladins are tied for seventh with College of Charleston after carding a first-round 308. Freshman Jenny Suh (Fairfax, Va.) carded a 75 and is tied for 14th in the individual standings, while Sarah Johnston (St. Charles, Ill.) and Monique Gesualdi (St. Augustine, Fla.) are tied for 29th at 77. Tiarna Harman (Greenville, S.C.) rounded out the Lady Paladin scorers with a 79, while sophomore Connor Atkinson (Charleston, S.C.) fired an 80 and is tied for 48th in the 90-person field.

The Tigers of LSU carded a 304 and are in third entering round two, while Mississippi and TCU are tied for fourth at 305, and East Carolina is sixth after a 306.

Round two of the Lady Paladin Invitational is slated for Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. at the Furman University Golf Course. Furman is paired with College of Charleston and UNC Wilmington, and will begin teeing off hole one at 10:00 a.m. The three schools atop the leaderboard beginning teeing off number one at 11:20 a.m., with the last tee time of the day slated for 11:52.
