Lady Paladin Golf Inks Three To National Letters of Intent

Greenville, S.C.-- Furman head women's golf coach Mic Potter announced the signing of three high school athletes to national letters of intent Wednesday. Jenny Suh, Monique Gesualdi and Theresa Paik are set to join the Lady Paladin squad in the fall of 2003.

"All three of these players are ranked in the top 20 for the class of 2003," said Potter. "This is one of the all-time best classes we have signed and we are looking for all three golfers to make an immediate impact on our program."

Jenny Suh, a native of Fairfax, Va., is a five-time Virginia Girls State Champion at Chantilly High School. Suh, a member of the 2001 Junior Ryder Cup team that competed in Ireland, won the Virginia State High School Boys and Girls State Championships in 2002.

Monique Gesualdi comes to the Paladins from Allen D. Nease High School in St. Augustine, Fla. Gesualdi won the 2002 Western Women's Golf Association Chamionship. The senior finished sixth in the 2002 Florida State High School Championships.

Theresa Paik, a native of Silver Spring, Md., played her prep golf at Brickhouse Academy in Sarasota, Fla. Paik , a 2002 Polo Junior Golf Association Honorable Mention All-American, claimed first at the 2002 Teens on Greens Championship and 2002 AJGA Hargray at Indigo Run Championship.

Coach Potter and the Lady Paladins open the 2003 Spring season on March 14, at the Lady Gamecock Collegiate in Columbia, S.C.
