Lady Paladins Fire Second Round 306 at Mercedes Benz Championships

Knoxville, Tenn. --The Furman Lady Paladin golf team fired a second round 306 to move into ninth place after the second round of the Mercedes Benz Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., Saturday morning.

Brandi Jackson (Belton, S.C.) improved on a first round 76 by shooting a three over par 75 to move into a tie for 13th heading into Sunday's final round. Jackson trails North Carolina's Ashley Prange by nine strokes with a two day score of seven over par.

The University of Florida and the Swedish Junior National Team lead the event with a two-day score of 603. The Lady Paladins are 20 strokes back with a 623.

The Mercedes Benz Championships continue Sunday morning with final round play at the Gettysvue Golf and Country Club.
